I am delighted to have been chosen to participate in the 2018 Women Behind the Lens exhibition organised by Picfair and The Guardian.

I’ve been published before. As a press photographer I’ve been published many times over. I’ve been shortlisted for prestigious awards and competitions. I’ve been internationally featured on occasion. I’ve even had some of my work exhibited as a London family photographer (upcoming exhibition in Blackheath as a side note – watch this space!).
This was an unusual one for me – to photograph an actual proposal! I was contacted by The One Romance – a company that plans wedding proposals – to take part in a planned proposal at the Shangri-la Hotel at The Shard in central London. My job was to capture ‘the down-on-one-knee moment’ as it happened – the emotion, the reaction, the answer! Eek – no pressure there then. I just hoped she’d say yes!
