The Strandline / strændˌlain / The mark left by the sea
A personal exploration of my sense of self and emotional connection with the sea, The Strandline examines the mark left by the sea on the human condition and personal identity. Part of my MA in Photography, the ongoing series questions perceptions, memories, associations and experiences of the sea. Exploring the thresholds and littoral and liminal spaces along and between land and water, sea and sky, city and coast, memory and experience, the project aims to examine the cultural and experiential impact of the seascape on the human psyche.
